Cadence

Beta terms

Cadence beta. Updated 2 November 2026.

By signing in to Cadence you accept these terms.

It is a beta

Cadence is unfinished, and free during the beta. Parts of it may break, change or disappear, and you could lose data, so save a backup file from Profile if you want a copy of your own. We can change or stop the beta at any time, and will try to tell you first.

Range rules come first

Cadence is a training log with no authority on a range. If anything in this app conflicts with your range rules, your club rules, a Range Officer, a match official or the law, they win.

How you handle your firearm is your responsibility, and so is following the law and deciding whether a drill suits you and your range.

Drills that involve movement, drawing from a holster, changing position, or handling a loaded firearm are marked with a yellow safety notice. Do them only where your range permits and under appropriate supervision.

Dry practice sessions will not start until you confirm three things: the firearm is cleared and you checked it yourself, there is no live ammunition in the room, and you have a safe direction. Confirm them only when they are true.

Drills and scoring

Scoring comes from the IPSC rulebooks and cites the rule numbers so you can check anything you doubt. Disciplines we do not hold a rulebook for, Long Barrelled Pistol and Revolver especially, carry an "unverified rules" notice. Their settings are sensible defaults, so check with your club.

The drills and their par times are still being reviewed and may contain mistakes.

Your account

You sign in through your email, Apple or Google account, so keep that account secure. Use Cadence for your own training, and do not try to reach anyone else's data or interfere with the service. We can remove access if you do.

Your training remains yours. You can save a copy or delete your account from Profile at any time.

Feedback

Use Send feedback in Profile to tell us what breaks or what is missing. We can use what you send to improve Cadence, without payment or any obligation to you.

If something goes wrong

Cadence is provided as it is, with no promise that it will work without faults or suit your purpose. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or any other loss from using the beta.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Your data

The privacy notice says what is kept about you and why.

Changes

We may update these terms as the beta goes on. The date at the top will change, and we will tell testers about anything important.
